Join CVRTC for the 11th annual Adamantine 5K and the 21st annual Fall Down on the trail hike. Also this year CVRTC will be having a ribbon cutting for the Big Spring Road bridge and the tunnel under Rt 233. The hike will go through both of the new structures and continue on to preview the 2018 extension that will add 2 more miles of trail.

4 Mile point to point rail trail course.
The course starts at the Newville trail head of the Cumberland Valley Rail-Trail and finishes in Oakville at the Oakville Methodist Church. The Rail-Trail has a smooth, crushed stone surface that runs thru beautiful farmland.

Race day registration and bib pickup will begin at 8:00 AM at the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail, 23 McFarland St., Newville, PA. Registration closes 15 minutes before the event starts, please be considerate of others and register on time.

Exit I-81 at Newville (exit 37, PA 233 north). As you enter town, take the first left onto Vine Street and follow through town becoming Fairfield Street (PA 533W). As you leave town, turn left on Cherry Street and go to street end at McFarland Street.
From Carlisle, Take PA 641 through Newville, turn left on Cemetery Road and follow to end of the road on McFarland Street.
From Shippensburg, Take PA 533E. Take the first right past the Pepsi Plant and then the first right onto Rich Street and go to street end at McFarland Street.

CVRTC is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable corporation dedicated to conservation, historic preservation, recreation and alternative transportation in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania through the development of multi-use trails along former railroad corridors and other areas. CVRTC owns and maintains the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail that runs 13 miles from Shippensburg to noth west of Newville and is working on extending the trail to Carlisle and south of Shippensburg.
